Week 3: Current Mindset

Part 2
Today we are moving around on our spot quite a bit. We are reaching in all possible directions.
Please put your laptop on a table or even a bit higher on eye level will help you connect to the work more easily Make sure you’re in a space where you can work privately and uninterrupted Have enough space to reach out freely in each direction without hitting anything
Please note: No sharp corners, cords, loose objects or other trip hazards around Wear flexible clothing and avoid jewellery Use a comfortable yoga mat or 'non slip' rug to centre your spot.

Part 3

Poem
Explore the 3 planes once more and focus on the opposite side of your preferences. practise your ability to describe what may feel uncomfortable and explore what images, words and worlds these feelings bring you. Write down your experience of part 2 in a poetic form. This poem will be as long or short as feels right for you. Most important is that the poem is created in your language and your own personal quirky style

Welcome to The Receptive Mind course WEEK 3: 'Current Mindset'
This week is a self analysis of the way your body prefers to move on each axis. You will use the 6 directions of movement to build a narrative between the body and the mind by mapping out your physical relation to centre. The practise of today consists of 4 segments.
Physical exploration into each direction
Physical exploration on a deeper level
Creative writing exercise
Filling out the PDF files attached when they come up in the video
Please enter into this exploration in your own personal way and movement style, the most important element is focus and commitment. Your mind must be attentive and involved in order to find 'understanding' from the body. When the body stands-under the mind the sensory findings can flow into your brain. Take your time to concentrate and use your felt sense experience derived from week 1 and 2 to connect to the work. Allow movement to flow out of movement spontaneously and passionately by becoming the movement. Follow through on your impulses into areas yet undiscovered.
